The Cheerful and Playful Missy.. She is in Pink of Health!!

The tough days are finally over. Mommy is totally energy drained ever since Princess fell so ill. Am badly deprive of good sleep which i guessed it will be hard to recoup back cos now is the time Princess started her usual routine again... running around, hopping, talking etc, so busy 'entertaining' her (wish i have some time for some good sleep though, wish, wish, wish.)

During Princess's 'sick days, many of our friends called up, sms, message etc showing so much care and concern for Princess. Thanks for all the friends out there (once again if you are one of them reading this blog, thanks so much xoxo.) It was you guys that make me hang on to Princess's irrational temper during this 'sick period' (it was really hard to bear at times!!)

Since last Thursday's class, Princess had make tremendous improvement in her lesson, even Teacher Claire and Teacher Chui Ting told me during today's lesson. It wasn't long since Princess joined Julia Gabriel School. She started of a bit shy but able to participate in all activities.

But for now, Princess showed team spirit!! She is most happy to do 'clean up' session when the free play time is over (she will take part in picking up the toys, put them in respective basket and help the teachers to bring the baskets for storage), humming the 'clean up' song as she performs the task (which she does the same at home, kept asking me to help her to tidy up and sing the same song over and over).

Princess begins to 'copy' her peers and teacher more!! She danced the same steps as the teachers does during singing session. She can now sing most of the in-house song.. 'Shimmering a ring a ding', 'Hello', 'Good Bye', 'Marching Ants' etc. Surprising, she can remembering all the actions that goes with the songs and we kept singing at home.

Without fail, Princess loves to paint!! She loves 'Arts Time' especially something that do with paint. Messy they are, but it was pure and innocent fun for this little gal.. we always ended up with paint (that is alright cos its washable) but what's a little scary is when they uses food dye, they tends to stay on the fingers and palm for a few days and looks a bit messy.

Princess has been a little busy of late too.. she has got her make up class from her MC days. So teachers let Princess have a go at the Chinese class. The 1st class was a bit confusing for her. New teachers and new language. Princess totally confused. But when she had her 2nd lesson this week, she enjoyed it. Can gauge from her expression that she is coping well and able to understand and speak mandarin. She even sat down with her 'Zhang Liao Shi' (Teacher Zhang) and 'Anna Liao Shi' for one to one 'pronunciation time'. See how much she enjoyed her Chinese class from the pictures......

Get Well Soon.. Missy

The Beach Gal... (sorry not in bikini cos Mommy thinks the weather is so HOT and got her wear long sleeves to block out the sun)

Missy had fallen ill since last Saturday. The Paedia suggested that it might be some stomach flu but Mommy began to suspect its the rice that the helper steam. Past weekend was a stressful and tiring one both for Missy and Mommy. Missy started to threw up and diarrhoea on Friday evening after her dinner, on Saturday, threw out her morning milk feed. We quickly brought her to her Paedia despite there was a long que for about 3 hours. Being so sick, Missy didn't even have the energy to cry when she reached the clinic (which normally she will wept silently on her way in).

In the mean time, Missy has to keep clear of any diary product which means bye bye to 'Enfagrow' milk. Instead she was given 'Isomil' which is for lactose intolerant toddlers till she gets much better. Missy was all along not adventurous in her drink, so many times she rejected 'Isomil'. It's only tonight that she finally accepted it and drank that 100ml. Think is she milk crave she been craving.. so by having to drink it is a better alternative than noting to drink before bed.

Missy is getting much better today. She is able to keep her food down which Mommy felt so grateful about, and her appetite is slowly regaining back its power. Compared to days back, she had shown so much improvement. Please.. let the days of her being so weak and just sit down on the sofa looking tired passed.

Mommy know Missy still don't feel that perfect and loves to throw her 'tantrum'. Mommy been trying hard to curb my temper and be nice to Missy despite the um-times she wanted me to change her dvd from Barney to Hello Kitty to Barbie to Lion Dance. If Mommy do voice a bit louder at times, Missy, this is what i would like to let you know

'My precious, i am sorry cos i do feel you are not well and just feel so helpless but i have to keep constant watch on you to make sure you do at least eat and drink to regain back your health. It just make me sad to see that you are sick.... Mommy really hope your diarrhoea will stop by Tues so that you don't have to be admitted to A&E for dehydration...'

Nevertheless, Mommy can feel that Missy is regaining back her appetite and able to keep her food down tonight.....Missy is on her road to recovery!!! Wish her well soon...

Some pictures of Missy in class....(ie before she fallen sick the next day)

My Dearest.. You are 21 Months Old

Our little Missy.. she is 21 months old!

It's getting harder for Missy to sit on her red sofa for taking her monthly birthday picture. She will run around and we ended up playing hide and seek. When she was small, Mommy would always think.. 'When will she be able to run around the house?.
But now at 21th month, Missy is running and jumping everywhere and it becomes a challenge for Mommy to keep her still. End solution.. these are the impromptu pictures while Missy is having fun...

'HUGE' Weekend!!

This weekend was a simple one but Missy enjoyed it! Gong Gong bought a BIG starfruit for her to eat on Saturday and she just couldn't stop munching on it. Yummy Yummy.

This is YUMMY!! Missy can named this fruit and it's her favourite fruit now.

'Please don't disturb me now.. I am enjoying my Starfruit'

MaMa bought her a HUGE Chupa Chups candy stick toy and a ducky torchlight that goes 'quack quack quack' when the button is pressed.

Missy went around the house holding on to the sweet, calling out 'Sweets Sweets'. She even hit Mommy with it..SOB...

It's Another Round of Virus Attack!!

Missy has been having cough for the past 2 weeks. Went to see Paedia again for the second time this afternoon and was diagnosed with a new virus attacking her throat making it inflamed. Poor little Missy.

She hates to be at the clinic as she is now older and able to recognise the 'evil' Dr Ong and his assistance over the counter. Tears streamed down automatically when she saw Dr Ong and kept telling Mommy, 'I don't want, I don't want'. But we had no choice but to call the nurse in and with her help, pinned Missy down on the examination cushion while Dr Ong checked on her throat. Missy was crying badly though. Nevertheless, when the examination was over, she didn't forget to wave goodbye to her 'evil' doctor.

While we were waiting for her medicine, her tears rolled down her cheeks quietly. Mommy didn't realise that she was crying and only did Mommy suspect why Missy kept so quiet, did Mommy realise that Missy was upset having to visit this place AGAIN for the second time in 2 weeks. Lucky everything was over and before Mommy knew it, Missy zonked out in her car seat on our way back home.. Phew.....

Dispite having the irritating throat, Missy is still a happy little gal..walking endlessly around the house, playing and colouring her all time favourite Barney Colour Book....busy little Missy

Missy got her favourite 'Humpty Dumpty' from Gong Gong (errr.. it's not really Humpty but it's actually a M&M candies dispencer.. but Missy loves to call it Humpty, maybe it looks like an egg to Missy)

'Lets Do Pretend' Party at School

Missy had a 'Let's School Pretend' Party at school today. Parents were given a week in advance for this party celebration. Mommy was rather stressed as i did not give it a serious thought till 4 days before the party.

Thought of dressing her up as a Princess but knew that she might not like the idea of wearing a tiara (as she always hated people doing anything to her hair other than putting on a hair clip. So this idea was not great. Just 3 days before the party while surfing a online web, Mommy got an idea!! I got a kind supplier who agreed to deliver my order for a set of butterfly wings to my place. The wings comes with a matching hair band and a wand but there is another problem Mommy got to solve.. Missy don't like hairband.. so with a little twist, Mommy got it transform into a hair clip. Voila!!

This is how Missy looks today:

Missy Turns 20 Mths Old!

Missy hits another milestone.. she turned 20mths old today! These are her recent achievements to date:

1. Missy can sing twinkle twinkle little star, although there are some missing lyrics in between. She knows and can recognise her Barney CD song list. There are times when we tried to 'cheat' her giving her the wrong song list, Missy will goes like this : 'No, it's Butterfly' or 'Wheel on the Bus' or whatever songs that is playing and waved her arms in air to show that you are WRONG!! (Indeed we are as we did it on purpose to test her memory)

2. Missy can count her numbers in sequence.

3. Missy can dance, go round and round and jump.

4. Missy can say 'banana' instead of 'bana' and 'butterfly' instead of 'ba-chai' now!

5. Missy is more adventurous in food.. she will show her interest in new food and when she finds something that suits her platter, she will ask for second serve.

6. When you see a cake and asked Missy.. 'What do you say when you see a cake?', she will goes 'Happy Birthday!!'

7. This is the most heartwarming.. Missy will kiss and sayang Mommy and say ' I Love You, Mommy' before she drinks her last bottle of milk for the day. This is so sweet...
